" tonight I find the latest pictures of one of the original german Cobras.
Here you can see that the stupid english swap everything to the wrong side.
The original german Cobra had the engine in the back for better traction on the rear wheels, only this will handle the massive horsepower with the Weber carburators. They are build to win like the Porsches!
This Cobra is for sale on a very low price, it must be an original 1964 Prototyp !!!
(I think 1.900€ is more than enough for that bullshit)"

Hawk from front ( Kb)
Hawk 2.6 Ace Replica

Silver with black interior. BMW 2.5 six cylinder, twin carb engine and four speed Getrag gearbox. This car was first MOT'd just before the SVA tests so it has been built as a more faithful copy of the original than is now possible. The car was constructed using all new or reconditioned parts by myself and local specialists when their arms could be twisted. It comes with side screens and a tailored tonneau cover in double duck. There is a hood frame and windscreen bows, but as I never intended using the car in the wet, I didn't see the point in getting a hood made.

I chose the engine/carb configuration because of the lineage to the Bristol engined cars and I'm glad I did because it really looks the part under the bonnet! The steering, brakes and suspension is off an MGB - the precision and feel of which has impressed me (it makes me feel sorry for all those years of being snotty about B's!).

Inside, I've tried to replicate the ambience of the original car's dash and carpet pattern. The door panels even have fabric map pockets. Take a look at some pictures on my page in the Members And Their Cars section.

The pictures were taken a couple of MOT's ago now so the exhaust doesn't exit from the side now (looked great, but was too loud) and there's a row of tonneau fasteners (Lift the Dot not Tenax) on the rear deck. The car has only covered about 250 miles since then so the condition is much the same as the pictures. The car is for sale with a fresh MOT and as it is Tax exempt I'll throw in a years Road Fund License as well!

Why am I selling it? Well, a four seat classic would mean the family could enjoy quality automotive time together, but then again it is nice to get out on the road on your own sometimes...

I think that £15,000 is a fair price for the car, I really think that the car is worth that and I don't do haggling, so please no offers.

HWM Logo in North London, offer the ex-John Woolf AC Cobra 427 Mk.3 (GTM 777 F) for sale:-

GTM 777 F

Thank you for enquiring about our unique Cobra 427. We consider our AC Cobra Mk 3 to be the best and most original example in the World today, with the lowest mileage of only 10,000 miles which is genuine and documented. This AC Cobra was first registered in 1965, and is finished in black, and retains its original black trim, not just the black trim but the actual trim in original form, as it left England en route for Venice, California, and is in good order.
Our Cobra 427 has a particular significance to the Guiness Book of Records, and a very interesting provenance. It was the first Cobra 427 LHD re-imported to England and in those days motoring journalists were clawing to get their hands on one. John Bolster, one of the better known motoring correspondents of that time, as he wrote for the Daily Mail and Autosport, succeeded in persuading John Woolf to let him loose in our 427, and he immediately set the World records alight for the fastest accelerating production car in the World, by recording 0-60 time in 4.2 seconds, and 0-100 in 9.8 seconds, and gained an entry in the Guiness Book of Records.
We purchased the Cobra in October 1987, and we began a four year detailed strip down of every part on the vehicle, having it crack tested, and treated, and keeping its originality in every department. All the work sheet rates, times and parts used have been recorded and kept. Space does not allow to let you know the extent and painstaking detail of the restoration, but suffice to say, it took four years and £100,000. We are pleased to offer you a rare opportunity to buy the best Cobra 427 in existence, with the best provenance and lowest mileage.
