BRA 289, Rover 3.5 V8, 5 speed manual gearbox, brown Conolly leather seats, Wilton carpets. MGB V8 spec braking system.
Pictures do not give a true representation of the colour which is cream, there is also a black soft top.

John Tullet's 289
HAWK 289 for sale. Built 1996/97, now completed 12,500 trouble free miles.
Power - 4 litre V8 by R.P.I., Holley 4 barrel carb, Offenhauser manifold [build spec available] Oil cooler rad.
Gearbox - Auto (with touring in mind).
Running Gear - MGB front end with ventilated discs & 4 pot callipers, dual hydraulic system with Tilt-on balance bar. Custom converted Jaguar Independent back end, which gives very good balance to the car overall. Stainless steel throughout, with self tappers only in a few cosmetic places.
All equipment to Gerry Hawkridges` specs and recommendations
Dunlop wire wheels, very ample tread on tyres. Unused spare wheel in boot. Totally underseal weather-proofed with sound insulation. Hood, sidescreens and tonneau cover by Hawkes own specialist, very well fitted. Windwings and sunscreens.
Paint work - Burgundy metallic, again professionally done, with wheel arches fined down to correct proportions.
Interior - Biscuit leather with matching carpeting, black leather dash.
General:- This vehicle was built as near as possible to original spec., and completed before SVA came into being.
